Make it yourself

Make your own piece

You don’t need to have done it before. Every kit holds all the blocks of the design, a numbered guide and the backing board. No rush: a weekend, or a few evenings.
The Nazar kit: blocks lined up in a compartment box, each colour in its own numbered cell, beside a layout map on straw paper showing only numbers, with glue and a brush.

How to read the guide

Each square in the guide is one block. The number tells you the block’s colour; the key turns the number into a paint name.

    Sort

Put the blocks into separate dishes by colour number. The key in the guide shows which colour each number is.

  2. 02

    Start from a corner

Begin at the top left and work row by row. The number in each square is the colour of the block that goes there.

  3. 03

    Choose a direction

The faces of the blocks are cut at an angle. The guide suggests a direction; set your own rhythm if you like.

  4. 04

    Step back

Every few rows, look from a few steps away. The picture is best checked from a distance.

Build your kit

Size

The number of blocks stays the same; bigger blocks make a bigger picture.

Cube Owl

A palm-sized figure, waiting to be painted. We are working on figures built from small cubes, primed white, that you colour yourself. They are not on sale yet; leave your details if you’d like us to tell you when they are ready.
